Thousands of residents from across Kaufman County gathered in Ben Gill Park in Terrell on Saturday evening to enjoy Terrell’s Annual Fireworks Display.
Organized by the Terrell Chamber of Commerce, countless area families turned out to hear the North East Texas Symphony as they performed an Independence
Day Concert which was followed by a thirty minute fireworks display.
Starting the patriotic day out with a Tricycle-Bicycle Decorating Contest and Parade, the early evening concert began after colors were presented by Boy Scout Troop 391
of Terrell.
Just before the sun set, the National Anthem was preformed and then the orchestra performed a large selection of classic American patriotic tunes as the crowd packed
into bleacher seating.

Using all the table seating under the Pavilion, lawn chairs, truck tailgates and blankets spread on the grass, thousands of Americans visited, ate, and relaxed as the hot Texas sun slowly set and the band played on.
A long time tradition, the Terrell Fireworks Display had the crowd clapping and cheering for several long moments upon its completion.
Terrell Chamber of Commerce President, Danny Booth described it as “a classic Norman Rockwall community style event.”
