Avis Lamont Anderson has been arrested for the murder of his wife, Aveia Danielle Anderson, in Forney’s first homicide of 2009.

Anderson is suspected of killing his wife in their home, in the Deerfield Heights section of Forney on June 21st and then reporting the crime as a “possible suicide” to the Forney Police.

Forney Police confirm that “after issuing a warrant for Anderson’s arrest, the East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Department was contacted and asked to serve Anderson with the warrant.”

Anderson was immediately located at his parent’s home and taken into custody without incident. He is currently being held without bond, in the custody of Louisiana authorities and will soon be extradited back to the Kaufman County Jail.

Previously reported exclusively in The Forney Post, Anderson contacted Forney 911 on June 21st at 4:15 and reported, “he is a truck driver and he just came home and found his wife,” deceased.

Forney Police dispatch transmissions confirm that Aveia Anderson most likely died from a fatal “gun shot found to the head.”
