Good Morning Texas Names Brady’s Burgers “Best Darn Burger in Texas”

Kevin Andrews, owner of Brady’s Burgers in Forney, will be featured on Good Morning Texas next Monday as the winner of the GMT “Best Darn Burger in Texas” Contest.

In a recent Post interview, Andrews explained how surprised he was to be contacted by Melissa Jones, Line Producer for Good Morning Texas and informed that he had won the contest “by a landslide.”

Andrews stated, “I forgot I had even entered the contest. A friend of mine kept telling me to send in the email registration, so finally I did. And then I just totally forgot about it until they called to tell me I had won.”

Brady’s Burgers, located in Shaffer Plaza just behind Chase Bank, will celebrate its 1st Anniversary on July 21st and being chosen winner of the GMT Best Darn Burger in Texas Contest is certainly a nice anniversary gift.

Andrews is scheduled to do a live cooking segment on the popular morning news show and will be cooking his custom made, “6 oz, 100% fresh (never frozen) ground beef,” Brady’s Original burger.

Appearing both excited and a little nervous about his upcoming television debut, Andrews explained, “After we moved into Travis Ranch three years ago, we wanted to open a business we knew at least something about. I’ve been cooking since I was twelve and I always get compliments on my burgers, so we decided to open Brady’s.”

Brady’s Burgers, which is named after Andrews’ young son, has become immensely popular with Forney locals. It offers ten different custom made burgers, including a spicy Green Chili Burger and a delicious Bacon Cheese Burger that is made with fresh bacon chopped into bits and piled on top.

A menu full of sandwiches, wraps, salads and Nathan’s Original Hot Dogs are also available and join original menu items such as sweet potato french fries, fried pickles and Larry’s Onion Straws.

Additionally, Brady’s recently began offering a “traditional breakfast menu” complete with pancakes and waffles that is currently only being served on Saturday mornings from 7 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
