Spinning to Manipulate the Truth

For the numerous individuals who believed City Manager Brian Brooks, Mayor Darren Rozell and Ex-Mayor Darrell Grooms countless assurances that The Post was reporting inaccurately within the article entitled “Judge Chitty Finds City of Forney in Breach of Contract & Orders Summary Judgment”, the below ruling written by Kaufman County Judge B. Michael Chitty, is made available in its entirety.
Apparently publishing the above referenced article sent Brooks, Rozell, and the always plotting, Ex-Mayor, Darrell Grooms, into a tail-spin of the first order.
Choosing to break the news that the City of Forney, Brian Brooks and Darren Rozell had been found in Breach of Contract in the Pate Transportation lawsuit while Forney City officials where lobbying in Austin on Kaufman County Day, these gentlemen have now spent the last two days attempting to convince the tax payers of Forney that there is no truth behind the facts as published in The Post.
However, it was always true.
If the very openly controlled, chatting website, that these gentleman use to defend their actions, and to bash The Post, wants so desperately to promote Brooks and Rozell, then perhaps they should check their facts prior to believing these gentlemen, and then maybe they wouldn’t look so foolish when the actual documentation is revealed.
Any newspaper willing to check it out could have easily discovered this information. Newspapers that are highly influenced and financially supported by a city government easily reveal their true allegiance when they openly bash persons and businesses within this community, prior to checking their facts.
City Manager Brooks and Mayor Rozell did not inform city employees, the majority of the Council or the tax payers of this community that a ruling had been handed down well over two months ago, but they are going to be truthful with a small, unconnected website that they control, really?
Judge Chitty ruled against the City of Forney on December 17, 2012. Brooks, Rozell and or city attorneys, Brown & Hoffmeister, reportedly did not make the entire Council aware of this ruling until The Forney Post spilled the beans to the voters of this community this past Monday morning.
It is a fact that The Post never reported that it had just recently obtained this information, nor did it report that a full summary judgment had been entered. It simply stated that the Judge had ruled against the City for Breach of Contract, and on what the outcome of his ruling could possibly mean for the taxpayers of Forney.
Post readers will undoubtedly understand that as an independently owned newspaper, the “power’s that be” have no control or influence at The Forney Post.
Therefore, City Manager Brooks, Mayor Darren Rozell and Ex-Mayor Darrell Grooms will need to spin a little faster in manipulation of their unconnected, inexperienced writer if they want her to dance with The Forney Post.
A legitimate newspaper, The Forney Post first confirms all material facts, then publishes the facts and then simply watches as the spinning begins.
