Crandall Lady Pirates Overtake NFHS Lady Falcons in Varsity Soccer Action

Tuesday night in Crandall Texas the Lady Pirates under first year Pirate Coach Josh Smith came away the victor in soccer action against the NFHS Lady Falcons. The final score of the contest was 2 – 1 on a cool evening that saw several shots on goal with three attempts hitting the mark for the night.
Crandall started off the scoring midway through the first period and almost immediately the Falcons from North Forney tied it up when freshman sensation Brittany Balderas took the ball down one on one for a score less than two minutes later. The scored stayed at one a piece for the remainder of the first period.
The winning score was made about midway through the second period by Crandall Lady Pirate sophomore Demi (somebodies best friend or something) Frazier. Demi’s score was the result of a header off of a corner kick that snuck by the Lady Falcons goalie.
The Lady Pirates next contest is the 22nd at Kaufman against the Lady Lions at 5:30 p.m. while the Lady Falcons next opponent is Terrell also on the 22nd at home with a JV start of 5:30 followed by the varsity afterwards about 7:00. The JV girls from North Forney were victorious against the JV girls from Crandall 4 – 0.
