Friday night football in Forney kicked off with a bang as the Forney Jackrabbits took charge and thoroughly stomped the Royce City Bulldogs at City Bank Stadium.

Starting the 2012 season before a large home crowd the Varsity Jackrabbits took control from the moment they stepped on the field and by half-time they were ahead by two touchdowns while the Bulldogs had yet to score.

Half-time entertainment was provided by the award winning Jackrabbit Marching Band who was followed by the FHS Highsteppers who did a colorful dance routine dressed as Crayons.

Jackrabbits # 11 Wide Receiver, Louie Fanning, # 5 Running Back, Darris Jenkins and #3 Wide Receiver Lane Johnson all had outstanding nights and by the end of the third quarter the Jackrabbits led the Bulldogs, 31 to 0.

Although the Bulldogs tried repeatedly to score they were unable to get points on the board until late in the fourth quarter when they scored their only touchdown and were unable to capture the extra point.

The Forney High Jackrabbits will next compete against the Lovejoy High School on Friday night September 7th at 7:30 p.m. at City Bank Stadium.
