Local Florist Participates in Make Someone Smile Week

In an effort to bring more smiles to faces in our community, Bow Wood Florist & Gifts is participating in Teleflora’s Make Someone Smile Week (July 22-28).
Two dozen “Be Happy Bouquets,” complete with bright yellow and white daisies, will be arranged in a yellow smiley-faced mug and delivered during Teleflora’s Make Someone Smile Week to Ridgecrest Healthcare & Rehabilition Center, 561 E. Ridgecrest Road in Forney.
The arrangements will be made possible thanks to Bow Wood’s partnership with Teleflora and Botanica, LLC, a flower wholesaler based in Irving. Teleflora will donate the iconic yellow mugs, Botanica, LLC will donate the flowers and florists at Bow Wood will donate their time and expertise.
“Bow Wood is a family-operated and owned shop that the residents of Forney have” supported for almost 20 years,” said Eva Contreras, owner of Bow Wood Florist & Gifts. “This program offers us a great opportunity to give back to our local community.”
This year marks the first year Bow Wood has participated in Teleflora’s 12-year-old charitable project.
