Forney Arts Council Announces Summertime Classes

The Forney Arts Council is providing an array of summer time classes and activities for the residents of Forney starting with a “Mom’s with Cameras Class” where participants learn basic camera function for both Point & Shoot and DSLR.

Learn the basics to get better pictures of your kids & activities as well as basic post editing skills. Classes are June 28th, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and then on June 28th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Class sizes are limited so “Mom’s with Cameras Class” will be offered again on July 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and then from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. that evening.

The Forney Arts Council will also offer “Read ‘Em Cowboy” Free Story Time on July 6th and 20th at 11 a.m., respectively where Forney children will learn about Cowboy Culture and Western History in celebration of Texas Buffalo Soldier Month (July 1-31) and National Day of the Cowboy (July 28th).

Get photographs and an autographed copy of "Western Legends: Yesterday & Today" for the special discounted price of $10.00 along with free Rodeo tickets for each child. Ten percent (10%) of the book sale proceeds will benefit the Forney Arts Council.
