Hensarling Seeks Input on Health Care at Upcoming Kaufman Town Hall

06-26-2012

U.S. Congressman Jeb Hensarling, a leading fiscal conservative and Chairman of the House Republican Conference, will host a town hall meeting in Kaufman on Tuesday, July 3rd to discuss the state of health care reform in the wake of U.S. Supreme Court’s Decision on President Obama’s health care law, which is expected any day.

Hensarling said, “While we don’t yet know how the Supreme Court will rule on the President’s government takeover of health care, we do know this health care law is a very real threat to hardworking taxpayers, job creators, families, and senior citizens that will unalterably change & expand the role of government in our society and in our health care system.

“Regardless of the high court’s ruling, we must replace the president’s health care law with commonsense reforms that are supported by the American people,” Hensarling continued.

“Therefore, it is very important to me to hear from the family health care decision makers, health care professionals, and job creators in Kaufman County about the impact the Supreme Court’s decision will have and what reforms they feel will improve our nation’s health care system and our economy.”

The discussion will be held at 11:00am at the Maples Hall.
