City of Forney City Planner, Rashad Jackson, requested City Council approval on the final site plans for a 7-Eleven convenience store to be located on Pinson Road.
The 1.676 acre track of land is located next to McDonald’s and across from Taco Bell and according to Jackson, “the applicant is requesting approval for a site plan located at the northeast corner of the Pinson access road and the frontage road of US Hwy 80.”
The applicant proposes to develop a 7-11 convenience store, that will across from the Taco Bell just to the North and the property that is directly east of the store will remain undeveloped at this time.
An access easement will be created to allow for a drive to be placed on the adjacent property, as is required by TxDOT corner setback requirements and the new 7-11 store will be approximately 3,010 sq. ft., and provide six gas pump stations.
The pumps will be covered with a standard canopy and in accordance with zoning setback regulations the store and the pump canopy will be setback toward the northern portion of the property.
City Planner Jackson explained that all the mechanical equipment and refuse containers would be screened and placed in the rear of the property and that the entire store will be constructed out of brick which meets the masonry requirements set forth in the city’s zoning ordinance.
Having no questions for the City Planner, Council Member, Andy Parker made a motion to approve the site plans as presented and was immediately seconded in his motion by Council Member, James Hatley. All council members present voted in agreement and the item passed unanimously.
