Humane Society Schedules Pet Celebration Event

06-10-2012

The Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake is participating in Tractor Supply’s “Pet Celebration Event” with an adoption day on Saturday June 16th from 10 am to 4 pm at the store on Hwy 80 East / 205 North in Terrell.  HSCCL will feature a “Mama Cat and Kittens Shower”.

The Late Spring, “April Showers” brought a bevy of kittens that are now ready for adoption. From 2 months to 10 months old, in a variety including Long and Short hair, Siamese to Tabby and colors including goldens, black/white, black and torti they are now ready for adoption.

All you “Cat People” come and see us and take home a spayed mama cat or one of her spayed/ neutered kittens to be your “Furrever” pet. With your help these little ones will not have a memory of living in a cage.

Joining the kitties will be puppy friends under 1 year old from the Shelter including Blue tick, Black Mouth Cur, Catahoola and Border Collie mix puppies! Come and meet them all, and if you are a “Dog person” pick out a puppy to be your “Furrever” Pet.

Please tell your friends that Shelter kitties and puppies need homes and make this a June “Shower to remember” as these little ones find their first and forever homes. Be part of the pet rescue solution and ADOPT from a Shelter! The adoption fees of $65 kittens/cats or pair for $100, and $85 for dogs and puppies includes spay/neuter, rabies, age appropriate vaccines, worming and microchip.

Dogs at the Shelter, brought in by Kaufman County Animal Control and other area communities, as well as Owner Surrender are in need of adoption! These are “OUR” animals that have been abandoned or strayed from their homes that are now being fed and cared for by Shelter staff and waiting to be found or adopted into a new loving home. Current dogs include Dachsunds, Labradors, Terriers, Chihuahuas and many other mixes.

Please call Lynn Ackerman at 214 502 6567 for more information on adoptions at Tractor Supply, if you have a request to see a specific breed/age of dog/cat at the event on June 16th or are interested in being a foster parent for a pet.
