Long Time Forney Resident Chuck Howard Passes Away

Charles “Chuck” Wade Howard Sr. of Forney, Texas passed away on June 3, 2012 in Forney, Texas at the age of 59. He was born on December 26, 1952 in Denton, Texas to the late Roy and Dorothy (Smith) Howard.

Chuck loved to spend time visiting with friends and his grandchildren. He enjoyed farming, watching westerns, and he loved animals. Chuck was raised in Lake Dallas where he loved riding horses in the rodeo, playing football and then graduated high school in 1971.

Chuck worked for Oncor Electric Delivery Service from 1973 to present. Chuck was a member of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church in Sunnyvale. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Dorothy Howard and a son, Matthew Howard.

Those left to celebrate his life are: a wife Marsha Howard of Forney, TX; a son Charles Howard Jr. and wife Kelli of Van Alstyne, TX; two brothers, Don Howard and wife Marti of Sanger, TX and Lon Howard and wife Debbie of Shady Shores, TX; a sister, Sandra Thomas of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Madison Howard, Dakota Howard and Cason Howard all of Van Alstyne, TX; Mother-in-law Jo Phelps of Lake Dallas, TX and father-in-law Bill Phelps of Oatmeal TX; sister-in-law, Cynthia McInnish and husband Jeff ; an uncle, Tap Smith and wife Sue; an aunt, Velma Jo Smith; and Chuck loved his nieces and nephews and cousins as they were very special to him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday June 6, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Mesquite. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:00am at Sunnyvale First Baptist Church in Sunnyvale, Texas.
