Hensarling Honors the Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals

U.S. Congressman Jeb Hensarling recently honored the Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals basketball team with a statement in the Congressional Record, congratulating them on their 6th NJCAA Championship win.

The Congressional Record is the official and permanent record of proceedings and debate of the United States Congress. Hensarling presented an official copy of the statement to the team members and staff during his recent visit to the college.

“It is an honor to represent such a wonderful institution that continues to excel in all facets, including women’s basketball. The entire TVCC family, from the coaches to the administration, can be proud of having such a strong program that continues to dominate NJCAA women’s basketball,” stated Hensarling.

“Winning a national championship is something these ladies will cherish forever. I have no doubt they will one day regale their children and grandchildren with stories of their impressive, perfect 36-0 season. It is truly an honor to be able to recognize the 2012 NJCAA Women’s Basketball team, the Lady Cards, in the U.S. House of Representatives,” Hensarling concluded.
