Crandall Burglary Investigation Ends in Arrest

During April 2012 the Crandall Police Department conducted an investigation involving home and car burglaries where multiple items were being stolen.
After further investigation, Officers, Investigators and Citizens were able to catch and arrest the suspect Canis, Jesy and furthermore obtain additional warrants in connection with other multiple burglaries in the area.
The Crandall Police Department arrested Canis in the 4000 Block of Goldenrod Street, where stolen items were recovered. After further investigation, Canis was also charged with three (3) Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and two (2) Burglary of a Habitation.
Canis was transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center where he is being held. Additional charges may also be filed as the investigation continues.
Lieutenant Bridger stated, “After an intensive investigation, evidence indicates that Jesy Canis is responsible for the burglaries.”
Lieutenant Bridger explained that he is proud of his officers in the efforts taken to ensure the security of the citizens by taking individuals like Canis’ off the streets.
Lieutenant Bridger stated, “The Crandall Police Department will continue to use all available resources to ensure the safety and security of the citizens to stop this kind of activity.”
