On Wednesday morning, family, friends and fellow athletes gathered at the Jackrabbit Athletic Complex to witness Forney High School Senior, Patric Youngman, sign a Letter of Intent with West Texas A&M, which is located in Canyon, Texas.

As an all around good athlete, competing in football, basketball and baseball while at Forney High, Patric Youngman, will receive an athletic scholarship to play football for West Texas A&M as a Linebacker.

Patric was accompanied by his proud parents, Jerry and Kim Youngman of Forney. Patric’s sister, Ashley, was unable to attend as she is currently a student at University of Texas, at Tyler.

Youngman is undecided on a major at this time however, he aspires to become a teacher and coach upon graduating.

Youngman moved to Forney when he was in Kindergarten and has played sports of one sort or another since he was very young.

After posing for photographs, Forney High School Varsity Football Coach, Kevin Rush, stated “Patric was a starter for three years, in three different positions. By far, one of the best all around athletes I’ve coached and I’ve been coaching for twenty years. Patric is well deserving of all the accolades he receives.”

A big Forney Post Hat’s Off goes out to Patric Youngman for a job really well done!
